About Us

Welcome to our world. We are breeders of the German Shepherd dog, a canine known for its courage, intelligence and loyalty. Focusing on premier blood lines and a genetics-based selection program, our breeding program is the result of countless research and emphasizes several key traits: sound nerves, stable temperament, superior drive and health. We strive to produce world class pups whom we believe will mature into the finest dogs capable of meeting the most stringent law enforcement or sport requirements while being balanced and stable family companions as well.

We embarked on this journey for two reasons: first; in order to provide world-class dogs capable of superior performance in the most challenging environments ranging from law enforcement and security applications to personal companions, guardians, and family members. Second:  we breed in order to promote and further the good of the breed as both tribute and in legacy to my father, Karl III. From a small village in southern Germany; Kochendorf to the beautiful Catskill mountains of upstate New York, his love, respect, and admiration for the "Alsatian hund" is the inspiration that drives and motivates us to produce what we are confident, is a superior representation of the breed.  Our pack members are more than k9 partners, dogs or companions; they are family. We raise our pack on our 52 acre farm, in the Catskill mountains a 2-hour drive from NYC. They enjoy room to roam, woods to explore, fields to train in, and creeks to splash in. They experience new sights, sounds, and smells and are exposed to a variety of life in both nature and in an urban setting. We start them early with basic commands and fundamental training as well. These key experiences are all critical and positive influences in their early development that contribute to a stable, confident, curious, well-socialized, and healthy dog. And we enjoy the benefits of working, training, and tending to the pack as well.  

For our non-Law Enforcement agency prospective clients, deciding upon a German Shepherd as your newest family member is not a decision to be made lightly. And while we have a preference to place our pack in homes that are sporting or working homes such as Schutzhund/IPO, households without this goal or experience will be considered as well. With regard to our litters, rest assured we do not "puppy mill" our dogs. We perform one breeding a year at most as our focus is on the breed itself. We will update this page as to critical info; dam/sire, pedigrees, OFA, exp whelping dates, etc. Please remember that these dogs will become great consumers of your time and energy. In return, you and your family will be rewarded with a companion, friend, and protector, second to none.  We invite you to do your research and then ask all the questions you may have. We will ask a ton as well. And we will help guide you in your decision making process whether that ends in a purchase from us or not.

Our clientele consists primarily of law enforcement agencies, corporate security and protection entities, SAR organizations and active sport/working households. Our dogs are bred to be balanced at work and at home, and to perform in challenging and difficult environments. They require a leader accustomed to the demands and requirements of such a driven breed.  Accordingly, although these are our primary clientele, we are open to discussing placement of our pack members on a personal level with knowledgeable and experienced handlers, preferably active working & sport homes. However; before you finalize the decision to acquire a German Shepherd please do your research, and understand the commitments required as well as the time and energy involved. ASK questions. Most prospective owners in the consideration process are first and foremost concerned with health. Rest assured, our dogs are tested and cleared for DM,  and genetically screened using the most comprehensive testing services available today. They come from lineage that has been OFA reviewed and certified as to hips and elbows going back multiple generations. We believe that starting with superior lines and sound & healthy lineages contribute significantly to a premier puppy who will grow into an ideal and healthy adult German Shepherd. Notably, we stand by our dogs with lifetime support and a two-year health warranty: simply put, if there's ever a problem with our dog, contact us immediately. We will make it right. We realize that your commitment to the breed is not a light decision and we strive to support that choice by providing you with the best possible representation of the German Shepherd dog according to breed standards first established in Germany and codified to this day.

Lastly please note: under NO circumstances will we ever ship dogs. For every application, a personal meeting will be required prior to the adoption of our dogs.
